The Agricultural Graduates Internship Program, launched by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Ms. Maryam Nawaz, offers a significant opportunity for the youth. This initiative focuses on enhancing agricultural services to support farmers, recognizing agriculture as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s development. The Punjab government’s introduction of the Punjab Kisan Card, providing interest-free loans to small farmers, complements this program.
The program’s core aim is to ensure food security, boost the economy, and create job opportunities. Approximately 1,000 agricultural graduates will benefit from this program, contributing to increased land production and overall national development.
Eligibility Criteria for Agricultural Graduate Internship Program
- Agricultural graduates with a BSc Honors in Agriculture are eligible.
- Applicants must be below 25 years of age.
- Individuals must have a domicile related to Punjab.
Application Process for the Internship Program
- Interested candidates can apply online through the Punjab Agriculture Department’s official website.
- Download and complete the application form with the necessary details.
- Submit the application form along with required documents to the office of the Deputy Director of Agriculture.
- Successful applicants will be offered a monthly salary of PKR 60,000.
The Punjab government has allocated a budget of approximately PKR 759 million for the years 2024 and 2025 to support this program.
