Distribution of Himmat Cards Across Punjab for Disabled and Jobless Individuals

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s promise to assist eligible and disabled individuals through this government initiative has materialized. As of today, the distribution of Punjab Himmat Cards has commenced across the province for registered individuals who have met the criteria set by the official portal.

The issuance of Himmat Cards is specifically targeted towards eligible jobless individuals who are incapable of working and experiencing financial hardship.

Criteria for Eligibility for Himmat Card from the Government of Punjab

• PWDs should possess certification from the Social Welfare Punjab.
• PWDs must be incapable of working or holding any position in the public or private sectors.
• PWDs should not have recently received financial aid from various organizations.
• The 8171 BISP’s PMT score should not exceed 37.
• Essential information such as CNIC, address, mobile number, education, and experience must be updated in the DPMIS.

65,000 Disabled Individuals to Receive Cards in the First Phase

Bank of Punjab will issue ATM cards to 65,000 disabled individuals who qualify for the program. Each recipient will receive a quarterly payment of PKR 10,500. The distribution will occur in two phases: 40,000 PWDs will get their cards initially, followed by an additional 25,000 individuals. Funds distribution through the Himmat Card will commence by September 15th.
