Government Increases Salaries for Employees Nationwide

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, has taken a significant step to address the financial challenges faced by government employees due to inflation and inadequate resources in the country. A considerable budget allocation has been earmarked to raise the monthly salaries of both active and retired government employees.

This initiative intends to provide relief to employees from Grade 1 to Grade 22, ensuring a significant boost in their financial well-being. Pension enhancements will benefit retired personnel and their dependents as well.

Salaries and Pension Increases Breakdown

  • 25% hike for employees in Grade 1 to Grade 16.
  • 20% raise for officers in Grade 17 to Grade 22.
  • 15% increment in pension for retired employees and dependents.

The Federal Government has allocated approximately 596 billion PKR for salary increments and around 445 billion PKR for pension raises. This comprehensive approach ensures that all government employees, regardless of their positions, receive the economic benefits envisioned by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Eligibility and Scope

This salary increment plan benefits government employees nationwide, extending its support to individuals in both urban and rural areas. Employees at all grade levels, including those abroad, are eligible for these raises.
