Solar System Size and Installation Time in Punjab

Solar System Sizes

Wondering how to get a solar system installed in Punjab and what size to choose? The government of Punjab, under the leadership of honorable Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has initiated the Solar System Scheme for consumers using less than 500 units of electricity. This scheme, announced in April, aims to provide solar panels to nearly 50,000 households in Punjab.

Easy Installment Plans for Solar Panels

To ease the financial burden, the scheme offers free installation of solar systems up to 100 units of electricity, and consumers can easily obtain systems up to 200 units in convenient installments. This initiative is crucial in reducing electricity bills for low-income families.

Interest-Free Loans for Solar Panels

The Punjab government is providing benefits to people from all walks of life. Up to 200 units, consumers will receive free solar systems, while those using between 200 to 500 units can acquire solar panels in affordable installments. Consumers using over 500 units will be offered interest-free loans for solar systems.

Solar System Registration Process

To avail of the free solar scheme, consumers need to register for a solar system. The registration process requires a valid national ID card number and electricity bill reference number. After successful registration, eligibility will be assessed based on merit for the provision of a solar system.

Some lucky individuals will be able to obtain these solar systems for free or in convenient installments. The solar systems under the easy installment plan will need to be repaid over five years starting from September or October 2024, with the provision of systems to selected individuals through a lucky draw.

The introduction of solar panels is a significant step towards providing relief to the less fortunate in these times of rising electricity prices. By generating electricity at home, consumers can save on their bills and contribute to a greener environment.
