The Government of Pakistan Launches Ehsaas Labour Program on International Labour Day
Empowering Laborers through Ehsaas Programme
On International Labour Day, the Government of Pakistan unveiled the Ehsaas Labour Program, aimed at assisting marginalized families across the country. This initiative under the Ehsaas framework is designed to offer support to laborers nationwide.
Initially providing a monthly stipend of 12,000 rupees, the program has been enhanced to 13,000 rupees to combat the challenges posed by inflation. The scheme will cover a wide array of workers including daily wage laborers, loaders, cleaners, mechanics, carpenters, drivers, welders, painters, and brick kiln workers.
Exclusions from Ehsaas Labour Program
The Ehsaas Labour Program is exclusively available to individuals meeting specific eligibility criteria. Those failing to meet the conditions outlined will not qualify for program assistance.
Ineligible persons are:
- Individuals who have traveled abroad
- Passport holders
- Vehicle owners
- Visa holders
- Individuals with a monthly income exceeding 80,000 rupees
Beneficiaries of Ehsaas Labour Program
The Ehsaas Labour Program targets laborers across Punjab, offering a monthly allowance of 13,000 rupees to alleviate financial struggles exacerbated by inflation. The initiative is tailored to support individuals with precarious incomes, high poverty scores, industrious workers, and those struggling to afford a daily meal despite hard work.
The beneficiaries include:
- Individuals with very low monthly income
- Those identified with full or extreme poverty
- Dedicated laborers
- Workers unable to afford a meal despite hard work
- Individuals hailing from economically disadvantaged backgrounds
- All laborers within Punjab
Ehsaas Labour App
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has spearheaded initiatives to enhance worker welfare, especially on International Labour Day. The Ehsaas Labour Program stands out for providing essential aid to laborers, addressing their needs and providing necessary support.
The Ehsaas Mazdoor mobile app facilitates seamless registration for the program from the convenience of one’s home. The introduction of dedicated apps for each program streamlines online registration processes, easing the burden for laborers who face challenges in accessing registration centers.
Upon successful registration via the Ehsaas Labour app, individuals are enrolled in the program to receive benefits.
Online Application through Mobile App
To enroll in the Ehsaas Labor Program, utilize the online application process for laborers throughout Punjab. Registering through the Up mobile app eliminates the need for Nadra registration, simplifying the process for all.
Access the Ehsaas Labor website on your smartphone or download the Labor app from the Google Play Store.
Complete the registration at home through the app by filling out the provided form and submitting it for processing. Once done, you will start receiving the monthly allowance of 13,000 rupees.
