The University of Sialkot (USKT) has unveiled the ‘Honhaar Scholarship’ Information Desk to assist students applying for the Chief Minister Honhaar Scholarship Program. Additionally, Honhaar scholarship program camps have been set up in Lahore colleges. Chief Minister Punjab Honhaar Scholarship Program
Under the visionary leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Honhaar scholarship program has been initiated to support talented and deserving students statewide. The program endeavors to grant scholarships to 30,000 students every year across 68 diverse fields of study.
Its core objective is to facilitate quality education access for students from various backgrounds, including orphans, children of low-grade employees, individuals with disabilities, minority groups, as well as divorced women and offspring of civilian martyrs, providing them with financial aid and educational backing.
How to Apply for the Honhaar Scholarship Program?
Students keen on enrolling in the Honhaar scholarship program can complete their applications online via the Punjab Education Endowment Fund website. The simplified application procedure aims to enhance accessibility for students seeking this scholarship opportunity.

Honhaar Scholarship Program Extends to Lahore Colleges
Besides USKT, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has established a special camp catering to the Honhaar Scholarship Programme. Spearheaded by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Uzma Qureshi, this initiative aims to raise awareness and provide support facilities for students applying for scholarships.
The University has allocated Rs. 50 million to aid financially deprived students. The Vice-Chancellor stresses that no deserving student should forgo education due to financial constraints, making this scholarship scheme pivotal amidst the current economic climate.
Crucial Eligibility Criteria for the Honhaar Scholarship Program
The Honhaar scholarship program is designed to uplift students from diverse backgrounds, including:
- Students who passed matriculation in 2024.
- Orphans
- Children of employees in Grades 1 to 4
- Students with disabilities
- Minority students
- Children of divorced women
- Children of martyred civilians
